My journey began in 2000, teaching at a Korean Golf Academy in Thailand. That two-month stint opened my eyes to the world, but it was my trip to Uruguay in 2011 to teach alongside my friend Juan Marquine that truly sparked my passion for exploration. Since then, I’ve been trekking across the globe—mostly solo—blending my love for the game with a thirst for new cultures.
Ireland was always the goal, but Whistling Straits was the litmus test. I traveled there solo to see if I could handle the dynamics of playing with strangers and the solitude of life off the course. After four incredible rounds across the Straits and Blackwolf Run, I knew I was ready. That trip didn't just test my game—it launched my life as a solo global traveler.
In September 2025, I launched Bris Golf Travel on YouTube and Facebook to build a community for adventurous golfers. My goal is to show you the full experience—not just the fairways of world-famous majors, but the hidden local gems and the charming towns that surround them. Whether you're looking for booking tips or inspiration for your next solo trip, I’m here to help you get off the beaten path. In 2026, I’m expanding to feature my favorite local U.S. courses and beyond. Come along for the ride!

With five trips and 27 different Irish courses under my belt, I’ve made it my mission to uncover the best golf Ireland has to offer. From the iconic cliffs of Old Head (pictured here during my first trek in 2015) to the hidden gems off the beaten path, I’ve scouted the terrain so you don’t have to. Check out my YouTube channel for course tours, travel tips, and everything you need to plan your own Irish odyssey.

Think outside the St. Andrews box for a truly legendary golf trip. On my trek to Scotland's southwest coast, I took a deep dive into golf history at Prestwick GC, host of the first 12 Open Championships. Between the classic Old Tom Morris designs at Machrihanish and the 'natural' golf experience at Machrihanish Dunes, I discovered that Scotland’s best-kept secrets are often found off the beaten path. Trust me: there is world-class links golf waiting for you in every corner of this country.

In 2021, I set my sights on England’s Golf Coast, a region home to some of the finest links land on the planet. With the historic Royal Lytham & St Annes—a multi-time Open Championship host—serving as the anchor of my trip, I rounded out the experience with four more brilliant tracks: Formby GC, Wallasey GC, Southport & Ainsdale GC, and the delightful local gem, Leasowe. Even after five incredible courses, I left plenty on the table, giving me the perfect excuse for a return trip to this world-class golf destination.
The United States is home to an incredible diversity of world-class golf, and I’ve made it my mission to explore its finest corners. From the rugged dunes of Whistling Straits in Wisconsin to the dramatic desert landscape of Lajitas Golf Resort on the Mexican border, my travels have taken me through the heart of the Southeast and Southwest. I share these journeys to help you plan your own perfect getaway—be sure to check out my YouTube channel for in-depth course tours and travel tips to guide your next American golf adventure.
